GreenMarbles, LLC is Hiring a Senior Accountant Near Newport, CA

Location: Newport Beach, CA

As a Senior Accountant your duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Overseeing all aspects of accounting operations, including payables, receivables, payroll, and tax preparation.
  • Gathering financial data for analysis and forecasting related to profits, trends, costs, and compliance.
  • Coordinating the preparation of annual, quarterly, and monthly reports.
  • Ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of financial information to internal parties, government regulators, and outside agencies.
  • Implementing and maintaining strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Monitoring and analyzing financial performance, providing recommendations for improvement and optimization.
  • Leading the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and support to team members.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Staying updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices, and making recommendations for process improvements.
  • Overseeing the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
  • Managing the company's cash flow and treasury functions, including cash management, forecasting, and optimizing working capital.
  • Liaising with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and tax filings.
  • Driving process improvements and automation initiatives to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
  • Assisting in the development and monitoring of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
  • Conducting financial analysis and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and identifying tax-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborating with the executive team to provide financial insights and contribute to strategic planning.
  • Identifying and implementing best practices in accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Record daily financial transactions, process payments and receipts, track accounts payable and receivable, and reconcile bank accounts.
  • Administrative duties such as reviewing and distributing mail, taking checks to deposit at bank, and booking travel arrangements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, MBA or equivalent qualification is a plus.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with progressive responsibility and a demonstrated track record of success.
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Proficient with accounting software and ERP systems. Experience with Netsuite is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership abilities and the ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity and ethical standards.
