Grey Staffing, LLC is Hiring a Lead Electrical Engineer Near Newington, NH
Our prestigious team is seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to take charge of various Instrumentation and Controls projects. This role aims at enhancing automation, refining quality, and driving cost reduction throughout our SCS and OTS facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI programs using advanced tools such as Rockwell RSLogix/Studio and Safety PLCs.
- Define system architecture and select components such as PLCs, HMIs, Sensors (optical, proximity, ultrasonic), VFD & Servo drives and safety hardware.
- Maintain and upgrade electrical aspects of manufacturing equipment, including PLCs, drive systems, gauges, and instrumentation.
- Ensure the plant power distribution system is adequate for current and future manufacturing activities.
- Oversee upgrades and improvements focusing on automation, process improvements, equipment reliability, and cost reductions.
- Comply with GMP, OSHA, NEC, NFPA, ANSI, and UL standards to ensure safety requirements are met or exceeded.
- Update production lines schematic and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD and backup PLC programs on a plant Network drive.
- Support Company EH&S policies and promote safe work practices through periodic department safety meetings.
- Utilize LEAN Manufacturing tools in all areas of responsibility.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years of electrical engineering or electrical maintenance experience in a factory environment, with prior management experience preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with drive systems, industrial controls, power distribution system, and lighting systems.
- Familiarity with NEC and OSHA electrical codes and knowledge of equipment preventive and predictive maintenance procedures.
- Strong communication skills, team leadership skills and ability to provide technical leadership.
- High level of self-motivation, organization, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in document control software applications (such as DOCS OPEN).
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel) and drafting experience (AutoCAD or other).
