Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Estimating Manager for prevailing wage federal jobs to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, project management, and cost control. If you have a passion for negotiating contracts, pricing projects, and ensuring accurate estimates, we want to hear from you.
Duties:
- Oversee the estimating department and lead a team of estimators
- Develop accurate cost estimates for construction projects
- Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates
- Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
- Utilize software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid for estimating purposes
- Collaborate with the construction management team to ensure project success
- Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction process
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
- Proven experience in construction estimating and project management
- Strong knowledge of industry software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid
- Ability to negotiate effectively with subcontractors and suppliers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in estimating
- Familiarity with cost control methods in construction projects
