Job Overview:
The Application Cyber and Control Specialist is responsible for safeguarding all software applications against cyber threats. This role involves the implementation of cybersecurity measures, monitoring application security, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Conduct cyber risk assessments and security audits of applications.
• Design and implement cybersecurity controls within the application environment.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure secure application development practices.
• Oversee the management of Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems.
• Develop incident response plans and lead the response to cybersecurity incidents.
• Provide cybersecurity awareness training to staff and stakeholders.
• Maintain knowledge of current cybersecurity trends, threats, and countermeasures.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, particularly in application security.
• Familiarity with compliance regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments.
Working Conditions:
• Office environment with the possibility of remote work arrangements.
• May require availability for incident response outside of standard business hours.
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• May occasionally require travel to different company locations for security assessments and training.
