Cookunity is Hiring a Facilities Manager Near New York, NY
The Role
As Facilities Manager to handle all maintenance issues in the facility.
This position will manage a team of people overseeing repairs for all equipment and manage preventative maintenance as well as negotiate contracts with 3rd party service providers.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for addressing operations maintenance concerns within NY facility inclusive of refrigeration, conveyors, meal packaging equipment, racking, dock doors, general building maintenance
- Assess repair needs for our equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
- Schedule and assign work to maintenance technicians
- Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
- Review utility consumption and strive to minimize costs
- Manage CAPEX for construction/renovation projects.
- Manage and organize maintenance tickets (Monday.com).
- Search, locate and order parts for repairs and maintain relationships with part suppliers
- Train new maintenance technicians in equipment repairs if needed
- Maintain and enforce standards for overall building condition and cleanliness
- Abide and enforce safe working conditions for the facility and the team.
- Working in conjunction with the health and safety department
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a facilities manager or relevant position
- Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices
- Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles
- Basic knowledge of Electricity and Plumbing
- Basic knowledge of HVAC and Refrigeration
- Experience and knowledge with a sealing machine (MAP) are a big plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Good analytical/critical thinking
- BS/BA in facility management, engineering, business administration or relevant field
- Bilingual in Spanish language is a plus
