Our processing ranges from, Grinding, Optical Pellet Sorting, Toll Processing, storage, and many other services. IEI's philosophy is that no company is too large or too small for implementing a total recycling package.

JOB SUMMARY: The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for both supporting and directing concerns regarding the existing IT infrastructure.

Experience and Skills:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Embrace the role of primary point of contact for the IT Help Desk and support the daily operations of the IT department.
  • Assess infrastructure on a regular basis to ensure it continues to meet necessary demands and supports end-user productivity.
  • Work to resolve IT Help Desk tickets, technology and software application issues in a timely and cost-effective manner, utilizing excellent customer service skills.
  • Provide recommendations for technology road maps, upgrades and changes that best support the IT department in achieving the organization’s goals.
  • Implement tagging/tracking solutions to accurately maintain inventory for all hardware and software systems.
  • Assist with the installation of new hardware and software.
  • Investigates user problems and identifies their source; determines possible solutions; tests and implements solutions.
  • Installs, configures and maintains personal computers, Windows networks, file servers, network cabling, and other related equipment, devices and systems; adds or upgrades and configures disk drives, printers and related equipment.
  • Troubleshoots networks, systems and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
  • Trains users on network operation and assists personnel of other departments as a computer resource.
  • Provides problem monitoring and tracking and ensure unresolved IT problems are added to the work backlog.
  • Manages on-site repairs and maintenance of personal and laptop computers, anti-virus SW, wireless technology, and MS applications.
  • Configure:
    • Entry level desktop hardware/software
    • Email accounts
    • LAN access problems
    • Basic network cabling knowledge

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Solid working knowledge of IT Help Desk protocols, Industry standard hardware and software, Microsoft Office 365, Windows and MSOffice environments.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical personnel.
  • Ability to install, configure and maintain personal computers, networks and related hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of computer and/or network security systems, applications, procedures and techniques.
  • Must have knowledge of Windows & MAC.
  • Ability to identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operations problems.
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

EDUCATION:

  • Associates degree in Information Technology or Computer Science preferred, but not required. Evidence of continuing education, such as IT Certifications, or a Bachelor’s degree is a plus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
