Overview:
We are seeking a talented Junior Designer to join our team. As a Junior Designer, you will assist with managing all phases of interior design development from inception to installation and assist with simultaneously managing multiple projects of varying size and complexity.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with design concepts, sourcing, putting together proposals and managing project budgets.
- Project Management which includes communication among contractors, vendors, and clients, creating design and construction timelines, schedules including plumbing, electrical, and hardware.
- Procurement which includes ordering, tracking, and handling damage claims.
- Installation preparation and day of assistance
- Site Surveys which includes measuring, sketching, marking electrical and HVAC locations, and noting site conditions
Qualified candidate needs excellent project management skills, be especially detail oriented, resourceful, have a highly refined design sense, enthusiastic interpersonal communication skills, the ability to multi-task and work collaboratively.
Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess some of the following skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software for drafting and design purposes
- Familiarity with StudioDesigner is a plus
- High end kitchen and bath design experience is a must
- Understanding of construction drawings, residential building codes, etc.
- Ability to create 3D renderings is a plus
