Your Role As a HealthStreamer 

Position Summary

The Digital Graphic Designer for Creative, Digital, and E-Commerce Marketing will develop various design deliverables to support product and corporate marketing, branding, sales, and campaigns. These include display ads, social ads, and graphics for emails, webinars, and events, aligning with HealthStream's brand guidelines. This entry-level role requires a solid grasp of typography, color, layout, and photo manipulation. Candidates should have a strong eye for detail, excellent client communication skills, and a passion for digital design and marketing. The designer will collaborate closely with senior designers and marketing teams, respond to feedback, and participate in decision-making. This role reports to the Senior Graphic Designer and involves regular interaction with various marketing departments and internal clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

You will be responsible for adhering to all HeathStream security policies, procedures, and assigned training.

  • Design, produce, and manage interactive online content, including email templates, social media, web, and promotional artwork to drive brand engagement and conversion.

  • Collaborate closely with the marketing and creative team to conceptualize and design innovative and effective deliverables for various digital platforms, including websites, web applications, mobile apps, and more.

  • Translate complex technical requirements and user needs into clear and intuitive design solutions that effectively communicate our brand message and value proposition.

  • Conduct research on user behaviors, industry trends, and competitor analysis to inform design strategies and best practices, ensuring that our designs remain relevant and competitive in the marketplace.

  • Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines and design principles, maintaining consistency and coherence across all digital and creative touchpoints.

  • Collaborate closely with the Sr. Creative Director, marketers, designers, developers, and other stakeholders to implement and iterate on design solutions, ensuring that user/stakeholder feedback and insights are incorporated into the design process.

  • Stay up to date on emerging trends, best practices, and innovations in design and healthcare industry trends, continuously refining and optimizing our design strategies to stay ahead of the curve.

  • Explore and implement efficiencies in design processes using tools and technologies, developing templates and guidelines to streamline design workflows and enhance collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications


What You Will Need to be Successful

Education, Experience and Knowledge Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Design Communication, or similar preferred

  • 1-2 years’ experience working in a design-related capacity is preferred, but not critical, given the presence of an excellent student and/or freelance portfolio

  • An internship experience is preferred

  • Excellent portfolio demonstrating competent handling of the fundamental elements of design (typography, color, balance, layout, etc.), with an emphasis on delivering against strategic parameters

Skills and Abilities Required

  • Due to the significant number of various projects occurring simultaneously, superior project management skills are required

  • Demonstrated competency in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop. Experience with After Effects, Lightroom, and/or Premier is a plus

  • Experience with Sketch or Figma preferred

  • A working knowledge of MS Office applications is required

  • Strong written, communication, and presentation skills

  • High level of organization with exceptional multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and deadlines at once

  • Good eye for branding design, design elements, and overall interest in industry trends

  • Keen to learn about all aspects of creative project management and finely tuned creative processes

  • Nimbleness for priority pivots, feedback, and updates to brief with a high level of attention to detail

  • Real team player who wants to collaborate alongside a preforming creative, content, and marketing team

  • A self-starter with the ability to work, learn, and seek out solutions independently

  • A diplomatic, smart, and confident communicator
