Family Care Solutions Caregiver Job Description:

● Providing personal care services in patients’ residences

● Performing domestic and light household tasks

● Transporting and accompanying patients to medical appointments, shopping, or hospital

● Remind clients to take their prescribed medications

● Assist with client’s personal care activities

● Maintain patient care records and document provided services

● Assist patients with mobility, physical and art therapies/exercises

● Meal planning and prepping

● Bathing and help dressing the client

● Assist with personal care and hygiene

● Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support

Administration

● To complete all relevant paperwork in accordance with company policy and procedure.

● You will be required to work flexibly on a regular basis to meet the needs of the service; this includes over-nights, weekends, and bank holidays.

● Ensure work is recorded accurately and appropriately in compliance with the company requirements and that records and personal information used are in compliance with the Data Protection Act and the standards of information governance.

Requirements and skills

● Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (1 year minimum)

● Ability to monitor vital signs

● Familiarity with basic nutrition and personal hygiene standards

● Caring and compassionate personality

● Current CPR certificate and First Aid training

● Annual TB test

● Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day

● Able to pass all background/health screenings (Abuse Registry, Criminal Background,

Motor Vehicle Background Check, TB Screening, Fingerprint Background, etc.)

● Maintain annual education and background requirements
