Our client (West Nashville) is adding to their Safety team! This role reports directly to Dir of EH&S. You will learn from the best on all Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines on a plant level to reduce work-related injuries and illnesses in a proactive manner. The Safety Manager collaborates with management to develop, prepare, an implement all Health and Safety policies and procedures in a timely, efficient, and correct manner, along with proactively coordinating safety and health programs to promote and ensure a safe working environment for multiple locations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
• Develop and lead a cross-functional safety committee, engaging and inspiring team members by communicating the team vision, mentoring others, and providing subject matter expertise.
• Lead in detailed incident investigations to determine root causes to develop corrective and preventative measures.
• Maintain accurate and detailed safety record documentation to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal agencies.
• Responsible for OSHA logs for all plants.
• Lead and manage risk analysis to include Job Hazard Analysis, Ergonomics, and other safety and health analyses.
• Ensure that the EHS compliance within all aspects of Safety and Health.
• Act as the subject matter expert for the plants as relating to safety and health.
• Act as the change agent for the facilities.
• Develop and update training regimes for multiple locations/plants.
• Work closely with MRO and Maintenance departments to ensure that all preventative maintenance programs are up to date.
• Management of Change leader for all facilities.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree
• 4 years of EHS exp in an industrial
• OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Certification
• OSHA 501 Certification
• Associates Safety Professional (ASP)
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred
