We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our team. The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the company, including financial planning, forecasting and budgeting. He or she will be responsible for ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the finance department
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts
- Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Reconciliation of bank statements
- Journal entries for payroll
- Month end close
- Provide analysis of financing needs for major capital equipment purchases
- Manage collection and submittals of national sales tax filings and state tax notices
- Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective risk management strategies
- Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities
- Work with managers to ensure timely invoicing
- Meet goals to maintain and increase the organization's profitability
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement financial plans
- Provide strategic financial advice to senior management to support decision-making
- Timely submittals for yearly 1099 filings
- Collaborate with third party accounting firm on year-end close and payment of filings
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and laws
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- 6 - 8 years' experience as a Finance Manager or similar role
- Strong knowledge of corporate accounting principles and practices
- Effective leader and team player
- Proficient in account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation
- Solid understanding of financial planning and strategic planning
- Experience with QuickBooks and financial management software
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to identify trends and make recommendations
- Experience in risk management and cash flow analysis
- Knowledge of corporate finance principles and best practices
