OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Endoscopy Technician to join our medical team. As an Endoscopy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting with diagnostic evaluations and medical procedures. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- The Endoscopy Technician prepares, assembles, and organizes the work environment, equipment and supplies necessary to perform diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures.

- Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

- Monitor patients' vital signs and provide appropriate documentation.

- Maintain aseptic technique throughout procedures to prevent infection.

- Knowledge of the use and handling of procedure equipment and endoscopy scopes, standard precautions and terminal cleaning of procedure rooms and endo scopes following procedures.

- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure smooth workflow and efficient patient care.

- Provide patient education regarding pre- and post-procedure instructions.

SKILLS

- Minimum education: high school graduate or equivalent

- Graduate of approved Operating Room Technical School with certification preferred

- One (1) year of on the job experience in an endoscopy setting.

- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification

- Proficiency in ER (endoscopy room) setup and operation

- Knowledge of aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment

- Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
