OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Endoscopy center. As a Registered Nurse in Endoscopy, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our endoscopy procedures. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform patient assessments before, during, and after endoscopy procedures
- Administer medications, including injections and inhalation therapies
- Monitor patients' vital signs and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedure
- Assist physicians during endoscopy procedures by providing necessary instruments and equipment
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, including medical history and procedure details
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans for patients
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment
- Educate patients and their families about post-procedure care and answer any questions or concerns
- Demonstrate the ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships with patients, co-workers, and other health team members
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an endoscopy or related setting
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to endoscopy procedures
- Experience with infusion and medication administration
- Knowledge of patient assessment techniques and ability to recognize changes in patient condition
- Familiarity with behavioral health considerations in the endoscopy setting
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing - has a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
- Current Basic Life Support certification, current ACLS certification preferred or basic EKG or Arrhythmia identification certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
