Noor Staffing is a premier staffing firm that provides top-tier recruitment to clients in a variety of industries, including healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, government contracts, legal, financial services, and creative. We fill both full-time and temporary positions in over 40 states and have a contingent staff of over 4000.
Noor Staffing is looking for a Director of Operations to oversee special projects related to our HR and back office functions. This is an ideal role for someone who is great at problem solving, identifying operational inefficiencies, and capable of proactively identifying ways to improve processes. This person should be also be well versed in payroll compliance and employment law.
Responsibilities
- Perform internal audits on temporary employees' status to ensure compliance with local laws, prevailing wage, union status, etc.
- Audit PTO and sick time to ensure compliance with client agreements as well as local laws
- Review compensation structures for internal employees and ensure commission payouts align accordingly
- Review Workers' Compensation to verify that temporary employees are categorized correctly
- Set up new clients in our system, run background checks on new clients, review client contracts, manage VMS vendor relationships, and negotiate with vendors
- Manage job boards, portals, ATS, and website
- Manage review sites and proactively apply to industry awards
- Manage and mentor two direct reports
Qualifications
- Experience in an environment with employees across multiple states; demonstrated ability to quickly learn and understand local employment laws
- Experience working with a varied employee population (healthcare, industrial, hospitality are all preferred)
- Intellectual curiosity and a self starter; should be able to identify areas that need improvement without waiting for direction
- Experience managing offshore teams is preferred
