We are looking for a super-fantastic, friendly sales associate to provide detailed customer service and meet sales quotas for our busy yet fun and low-stress wine and cheese store!

Candidates who are outgoing, have strong communication skills, and who will make customers feel welcome in our store will stand out. You must be intrinsically motivated and possess a strong work ethic; an ability to follow directions with ease and execute work efficiently is essential. You will help identify customer needs, present and answer questions about our products and services and make recommendations. A positive attitude and a desire to promptly resolve potential customer issues or complaints will make you successful in this role. Ultimately, you will ensure that customers leave our store satisfied and you will contribute to the store’s profitability.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct customers
• Provide accurate information (e.g. product features, pricing and after-sales services)
• Answer customers’ questions about cheeses, wines, and gift products
• Receive and price new merchandise
• Cross-sell products
• Ensure products are fully stocked
• Coordinate with other employees to provide excellent customer service (especially during peak times)
• Inform customers about discounts and special offers
• Provide customer feedback to the Manager and Owner
• Stay up-to-date with new products/services

Skills

• Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Representative, Sales Associate or similar role
• Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures
• Knowledge of gourmet food products (especially cheeses) and specialty beverages like wine and cocktails
• Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
• Ability to perform quality and consistent work in fast-paced environments
• Flexibility to work various shifts
• You must be available weekends during peak months- June through October
• YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD TO WORK FOR US
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift heavy objects is required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
