- Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents and families and to work cooperatively with other associates.
- Related experience at a level necessary to accomplish this job.
- Must be able to maintain regular attendance
- Sorts soiled linens in appropriate manner
- Loads washers in appropriate manner and correct cycle
- Transfers washed linen to dryers and sets correct cycle
- Folds and sorts clean linen in proper areas
- Removes non-serviceable linens from circulation and stores for repairs or discards as assigned
- Hangs clean clothes according to assigned laundry number and returns to room
- Assures personal inventory list are complete, and updated
- Gathers unidentified items and maintains in laundry as lost and found
- Operates equipment in proper manner
- Clean filters for dryers as needed
- Mop floors daily
- Dust all equipment and fixtures in laundry room
- Dispose of trash daily
- Wash windows, walls, and woodworks as needed
- Deodorizes as necessary
- Demonstrates warm, professional working relationship with residents, family members, visitors and volunteers.
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be able to walk, reaching, bending, lifting at least 50 pounds, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing, pulling, ability to distinguish smell, taste, temperature, ability to read, write, and ability to remain calm under stress. Must be able to communicate with residents, personnel, and have the ability to understand and apply training and in-service education.
