Foxconn Industrial Internet is Hiring a Failure Analysis Engineer Near Mount Pleasant, WI

Foxconn Wisconsin is seeking a Failure Analysis Engineer that will work as part of a team to make record for failure analysis status and provide internal Quality Engineer FA data to generate Quality report. Once a part of the Foxconn team you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks within the DEPT in an office/production environment and have the opportunity to display critical thinking skills to expand your career in Smart Manufacturing. 

Current open positions are available on the following shifts: 

  • 1st Shift: 8am-5:00pm
  • 2nd Shift: 3:30pm-12:00am

The Failure Analysis Engineer will perform Design and develop debug tools targeting shorten debug process and improve debug efficiency and assist this Department as needed. 

Job Responsibilities Include: 

  • Sustaining test related issues for production and work with internal team and customer for root cause analysis as well as improvement.

  • Make record for failure analysis status and provide internal Quality Engineer FA data to generate Quality report

  • Co-operate with internal Quality Engineer to improve production quality

  • Monitor test failure trends in production and provide corrective actions to improve production test yields.

  • Design and develop debug tools targeting shorten debug process and improve debug efficiency

  • Study test logs and generate debug SOP accordingly

  • Interface with customers and internal cross-functional teams to solve all testing-related issues.

  • Come up with testing related improvement projects and be able to carry out the project for good execution and drive result.

  • Train Technicians and Debuggers on new and existing debugging procedures and product troubleshooting.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements and Ideal Experience Includes: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required; Associate degree with 2-5 years’ experience in testing engineering.

  • Master’s degree in Electrical engineering is preferred.

  • 1-2 years of manufacturing test experience preferred.

  • 3 years of software/ test development experience preferred.

  • Experience with network production installation (servers, switches) is a plus.

  • Basic knowledge of Python/Java, C/C , MySQL.

  • Basic knowledge of computer architecture.

  • Circuit level debug experience preferred.

  • Experience in Linux/Unix environment required.

  • Basic knowledge in hardware regard to all the main parts of a server (CPU, RAM, etc.)

  • Must have hands-on experience in computer hardware repair, troubleshooting and installation.

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.

  • Must have a strong customer service/satisfaction attitude

  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure manufacturing environment
