We are looking for a self-motivated individual to temporarily join our team as an Accountant. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills and be able to perform a wide variety of accounting duties. This position will report directly to the Director of Finance who is a CPA certified in New York. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, has excellent EXCEL skills (uses VLookups and Pivot Tables) and is comfortable working with NetSuite and Concur.

Duties:

• Prepare and review journal entries for accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare bank deposits daily and reconcile bank account monthly.
• Reconcile accounts in preparation for month end close.
• Assist in preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Assist with the transition from Sage 50 to NetSuite
• Assist with the preparation of claim submissions for grants.
• Assist the Director of Finance with various projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Grant management experience is a plus.
