STV is Hiring a Document control specialist Near Morrisville, NC

We are looking for a detail-oriented Document Control Specialist with experience in airport construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and organizing project documents, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and accessibility.

The Document Control Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining project documentation integrity and supporting efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

Document Management : Establish and maintain document control systems for airport construction projects, including version control, document numbering, and filing structures.

Document Tracking : Track and monitor project documents, including drawings, specifications, contracts, permits, and correspondence.

Ensure documents are up to date and accessible to authorized personnel.

Revision Control : Manage document revisions, revisions logs, and change orders. Coordinate with project teams to ensure all stakeholders have access to the latest versions of documents.

Quality Assurance : Perform quality checks on project documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

Document Distribution : Facilitate the distribution of documents to project teams, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and other stakeholders as needed.

Document Review : Coordinate document review processes, including internal reviews, client reviews, and regulatory approvals.

Track review status and manage review comments and revisions.

Document Archiving : Maintain organized document archives for completed projects, ensuring documentation is stored securely and can be retrieved as needed for reference or audit purposes.

Training and Support : Provide training and support to project teams on document control procedures, software tools, and best practices.

Communication : Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding document control requirements, processes, and updates.

Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiency enhancements within the document control function.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in document control, preferably in airport construction projects or related industries.

Proficiency in document control software such as Aconex, Procore, SharePoint, or similar tools.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage large volumes of documents and information.

Knowledge of document management principles, including version control, metadata management, and document workflows.

Familiarity with construction and engineering terminology, drawings, specifications, and contracts.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.

Understanding of regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and industry best practices related to document control.

Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency.

Must be local or willing to relocate to the Raleigh-Durham area. This position does not allow remote or hybrid work.

Compensation Range :

$68,560.00 - $91,413.00
