The Peck School is Hiring a Facilities Associate Near Morristown, NJ

Overview:
The Facilities Associate will be responsible for ensuring a safe and clean campus environment for meaningful instruction and learning. Working closely with the Director of Facilities and members of the facilities team, the Facilities Associate will perform various maintenance tasks and have a significant role in maintaining vendor relations. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication skills are needed to perform this role.

Duties:
● Collaborate with the Director of Facilities on managing vendor relationships, including but not limited to contractors, suppliers, and service providers.

● Perform routine maintenance tasks, including painting, minor repairs, and cleaning to maintain the appearance and functionality of Peck’s facilities.

● Assist in the setup and breakdown of equipment and furniture for school events, meetings, and activities.

● Conduct regular inspections and walkthroughs to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with safety regulations, reporting any findings to the Director of Facilities

● Support reactive and preventative maintenance work requests through our CMMS system.

● Assist with maintaining records in the Facilities Drive.

● Support landscaping efforts, including lawn care, gardening, and snow removal.

● Assist with the monitoring and maintenance of facility systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.

● Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.

● Collaborate with the Security Team for overall safety, monthly drills, access control and traffic/parking on Campus.

Experience:
- Previous experience in facilities management or a related field is preferred
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for repairs and maintenance tasks
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Ability to work 10:00am - 6:00pm, and occasional weekends.
