Position: Transportation Operation Manager

Reports to: Ownership

Description Overview: An operations Manager is responsible for the daily operations of Transportation to and from set locations. This position requires exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills to ensure the safety and efficiency of the shuttle service and people. Must be familiar with scheduling transportation, routes, coordinating with drivers and logistics personnel, maintaining, and managing transportation equipment, and communicating with clients and customers. It is also the responsibility of the Operation Manager to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and requirements and maintain accurate records of transportation activities. Must have Strong leadership skills, experience, and the ability to communicate effectively. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and safe transportation of goods and is essential to the success of the transportation company. Must have proven experience with Managing transportation (shuttle service).

Duties & Responsibilities

· Comply and Enforce DOT regulation.

· Planning and coordinating shuttle runs with drivers and personnel.

· Managing staff and department

· Running the day-to-day operations, including scheduling and dispatching drivers

· Maintain transportation assets and facilities.

· Monitor and control expenses, such as fuel, maintenance, and labor costs.

· Maximize efficiency.

· Must have strong communication and problem-solving skills.

· Interact with customers and staff clearly and effectively.

· Responsible for training and addressing any issues or concerns that arise.

· Required to stay up to date on DOT laws and regulations.

· Customer satisfaction

· Safety Audits on equipment

· Report maintenance and repair needs for transportation equipment.

· Keep organized records of vehicles, schedules and completed runs.

· Ensure compliance with company policies.

· Stay up to date on safety regulations.

· Ability to supervise and train staff.

· Manage the Lead Transportation Operations Representatives, Transportation Operations Representative, Transportation Operations Account Coordinator assisting with more complex projects

· Perform routine supervisory duties for Lead Transportation Operations Representative, Transportation Operations Representative and Transportation Operations Account Coordinator, such as performance reviews, guidance and mentoring

· Experience in supply chain management concepts - forecasting, planning, optimization, fulfillment and logistics - gained through work experience or graduate level education

· A completed bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in operations, engineering, or administration

· Must be able to quickly understand the business impact of the trends and make decisions based on available data

· Support cross-functional projects that are being rolled out across the network and ensure the line haul operations are geared to support for a successful launch and operation

· CDL’s are a plus.

· BS in Supply Chain, Logistics, shuttle service or relevant field is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
