A prominent Medical Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional eye care services to patients of all ages, including comprehensive eye exams, diagnosing and treating eye conditions, prescribing corrective lenses, and promoting overall eye health. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, collaborating with other professionals to ensure the highest standard of patient care. Full or Part time.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive eye examinations using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
Evaluate patients' visual acuity, depth perception, and eye muscle function.
Diagnose and treat ocular diseases, disorders, and injuries, including glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy.
Prescribe corrective lenses, contact lenses, and other visual aids based on patients' individual needs and preferences.
Educate patients about proper eye care practices, including hygiene, nutrition, and safety measures.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including ophthalmologists, opticians, and primary care physicians, to coordinate patient care and referrals.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, examination results, and treatment plans.
Adhere to ethical and legal standards in optometric practice, ensuring patient confidentiality and informed consent.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school.
Licensed to practice optometry in the state of New York.
Strong clinical skills, including proficiency in performing eye exams and diagnosing ocular conditions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
