OPTOMETRIST RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Perform routine eye exams and vision care procedures

· Administer special testing as needed (visual fields, ophthalmic imaging, etc.)

· Medical eye care (glaucoma, cataracts, diabetes, etc.)

· Assess the need for a 3rd party referral and proceed accordingly

· Contact lens evaluation, tend to eye emergencies and coordinate care with other in-house providers

· Strictly adhere to HIPAA standards & regulations in handling any patient information or patient inquiries.

· Effectively perform a variety of other assignments and projects as may be required

OPTOMETRIST QUALIFICATIONS:

· License to practice Optometry in New York State

· Must be comfortable dealing with pediatric and adult patients

· Recent graduate of Optometry Residency program welcome to apply!

· Experience with Electronic Medical Records software preferred
