The Advance Group Staffing is Hiring an Accounts Receivable Clerk Near Monroe, MI

Are you a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent organizational and communication skills? If so, we have an exciting opportunity!

The Advance Group has partnered with a local steel processing plant in Monroe seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk. You will play a vital role, contributing to the efficient and accurate management of accounting processes. Your proficiency in various software applications, strong communication abilities, and analytical thinking will be essential for your success in this role.

General Duties of Accounts Receivable Clerk:

  • Responsible for timely and accurate issuance of customer invoices, covering multiple shipping locations.
  • Perform non-routine, moderately complex accounting functions, following appropriate procedures for timely and accurate preparation.
  • Analyze and process transactions in all accounting areas.
  • Research and correct any invoices or shipping documents that are not matched.
  • Reconciliation of customer accounts receivable and shipping of finished goods to offsite inventory reports.
  • Responsible for collection efforts of accounts receivable. This includes maintaining accurate, up to date records of all collection efforts.

Additional Responsibilities for Accounts Receivable Clerk May Include:

  • Collaborate with the finance team to support various accounting projects and initiatives.
  • Assist in other related duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications for Accounts Receivable Clerk:

  • 2-3 Years of accounts receivable experience required.
  • Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment preferable.
  • Highly proficient in computer skills, specifically Excel, required.
  • Basic understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Basic understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance Standards (SOX)

Compensation for Accounts Receivable Clerk:

  • $25-32 per hour based on experience.
  • Benefits once hired in include Health, Vision and Dental insurance from day 1!
  • 401K match plus employer contribution, quarterly profit sharing (with no cap!).

Hours for Accounts Receivable Clerk:

  • Monday – Friday 8am-5pm
