Who We Are
Golden Queen Mining Co., LLC (the “Company”) operates a gold and silver, open pit, heap leach operation on its Soledad Mountain property, located just outside the town of Mojave in Kern County in southern California. The Project uses conventional open pit mining methods and the cyanide heap leach and Merrill-Crowe processes to recover gold and silver from crushed, agglomerated ore.

Who You Are
You are an integral member of the Golden Queen team. You have over 10 years of experience in accounting. Your experience encompasses general ledgers, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. You have a strong knowledge of the US GAAP. You work effectively within the team to meet company goals.
As the Senior Accountant, you would report to the Accounting Supervisor, and typically work a 4-day, 10-hour schedule. This is a safety sensitive position.
What You Do
- Monthly close, including reconciliations, monthly journal entries and review work.
- Track forecasts and budgets for all departments and assist in the preparation of the monthly departmental cost books detailing actual vs. budgeted expenses.
- Prepare monthly analysis and tracking reports.
- Interact with other departments for cost collection and reporting.
- Strong interaction with the Purchasing functions.
- Maintain Fixed Assets.
- Responsible for overall function of accounting systems.
- Responsible for accounts payable batch approvals and payment batches.
- Responsible for EFT processing through the accounting system.
- Assist in maintaining the chart of accounts.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports and liaise with tax accountants on annual filings.
- Assist with accounts payable.
- Assist in accounting processes and procedures.
- Assist in annual audits.
- Metal sales accounting.
- Other duties as required.
What You Bring
- Accounting degree, or equivalent.
- Over 10 years of experience in accounting.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
- Accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger experience.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office products.
- Microsoft Accounting systems knowledge.
- Must have the ability to interact well with others.
- Driver’s license.
