Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Optometrist to join our team. As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional eye care services to our patients. You will diagnose and treat various eye conditions, prescribe corrective lenses, and educate patients on proper eye care practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ophthalmology and possess excellent communication skills.
Duties:
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity and detect any abnormalities or diseases
- Diagnose and treat common eye conditions such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia
- Prescribe corrective lenses, including glasses and contact lenses, based on individual patient needs
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries
- Educate patients on proper eye care practices, including hygiene, nutrition, and lifestyle choices
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic systems
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in optometry and attend continuing education courses
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of ophthalmology principles and practices
