• Will diagnose malfunctions of equipment to determine cause and appropriate corrective action.
• Will need to perform preventative maintenance tasks according to established protocols.
• Plans and lays-out work from blueprints, sketches, drawings, specifications, guides, codes, and work orders.
• Troubleshoots heating boilers, heating systems, and fuel power boilers with complex problems and extensive repairs, requiring judgment to locate malfunctions.
• Must be able to read and work from schematics.
• Must have the ability and knowledge to trouble shoot systems with no schematic.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must have a broad knowledge of boiler controls including Autoflame, Honeywell, Fireye, Raypack, and Siemens.
• Know the difference in Domestic hot water vs Hydronic hot water, Steam and Hot Oil.
• Must be able to operate a combustion analysis unit.
• Must understand and read a manometer, electronic or Slack Tube.
• Know hot to properly use and understand a multi-meter.
• Must have the ability to trouble shoot boilers and auxiliary equipment.
• Must be able to retrofit control systems in the field.
• Maintain company issues tools, laptop or tablet, company credit card and company vehicles.

• Ensure duties and company projects are accomplished in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
• Mechanical and electrical background is a must.
• Support other technicians and management with internal and external projects.
• Have knowledge of PLC’s, transformers, transmitters, and other controls.
• Wire all controls and motors for water tube and firetube boilers and auxiliary equipment.
• Familiarity with condensate tanks and deaerators.
• Reads and understands wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Able to trouble shoot, fire, and set combustion on all types of boilers.
• Determine valve trim, regulator size and spring, oil gun length and size, and all other parts and accessories needed to fire any boiler.
• Able to fire and set combustion on boiler with all types of pneumatic controls.
• Able to fire and set combustion on boiler with all types of electrical controls.
• Must adhere to company policies.
• Must be a team player/independent worker who is a professional, reliable resource.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

• 2 year's of experience working in a similar role, is required.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Preference will be given to those candidates having completed a technology program in Boilers, HVAC's.
• TWIC Card is required, (Company paid).
• HASC - Houston area safety council, basic . Will be required. (Company paid).
• Prior OSHA 10 Safety training is preferred.
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• Must pass a criminal background and pre-employment drug test.
