We are offering an opportunity in the property management space for an entry-level Accountant for a contract to hire position. This role will be a key addition to our property accounting department, providing essential accounting functions and customer service to property owners. This role requires a detail-oriented individual adept at using cloud-based management software and accounting systems.Responsibilities:• Correspond with property owners regarding their accounting statements and ledgers through phone and email.• Utilize cloud-based management software for accounting and property management tasks.• Handle daily deposit of electronic funds, payment of property-related expenses, and disbursement to owners.• Understand the flow of transactions; interpret tenant and owner ledgers and respond to inquiries.• Prepare and send accounting statements to property owners upon request.• Monitor and manage an ACH payment system, updating account information as necessary.• Provide customer service to property owners, assisting with questions or concerns about their account.• Process security deposit transfers and review move-out accounting.• Assist in account reconciliations, preparation of year-end accounting, and financial statements.• Collect required tax information and assist in the preparation of necessary tax documents.• Participate in special projects as assigned.
