Augustana Apartments of Minneapolis, an independent and assisted living campus in Minneapolis, is hiring a Full-Time Maintenance Technician with 3 years of experience to join our team. Our building is located on the bus line in the heart of historic Elliot Park Neighborhood. We offer free parking and staff have easy access to various public transportation options. 

This is a Full-Time, benefit eligible position working a varied schedule and rotating weekends and holidays.

Maintenance Technician responsibilities:

• General day to day repair of heating, cooling, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Perform general repair – HVAC.
• Perform minor structural repair.
• Perform lawn care and landscaping duties.
• Removes snow, ice and debris from walks, drives and parking areas.
• Assists with moving office equipment and furniture.
• Participates in the preventative maintenance program of the department, including servicing equipment, fixtures and appliances and documenting service provided.
• Assists in the addition, remodeling or renovating of all physical property.
• Painting rooms and offices.
• Drive 23 person company bus once a week or as needed to take residents on grocery outings or specific events during the day.

Maintenance Technician requirements:

• 3 years maintenance experience required.
• Need to have a Class B Commercial License or willing to take classes to acquire/retain it.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to pass driver’s test to drive bus that transports residents.
• Ability to pass background check and drug test.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to work flexible hours on occasion.
