In celebration of our 40th year, we are hosting a coast-to-coast bike tour, led by long-time staff Greg Townsend, the inspiration behind the feature film, "Hard Miles," set to release in theaters coinciding with the tour's start.

Responsibilities :

• Plan and coordinate logistics for the entire cross-country bike tour, including route mapping, accommodations, transportation, and support services.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, partners, and local communities along the tour route.
• Oversee event planning and execution, including pre-tour briefings, rest stops, on-route events, and celebrations.
• Coordinate and interface with the Hard Miles team to assist with promotional and media engagement opportunities.
• Manage public relations efforts to generate excitement around the tour through media outreach and press releases.
• Create and implement a social media strategy to promote the tour, engage participants, and share updates with followers.
• Provide on-site support and assistance to tour participants, addressing any logistical issues or concerns that arise during the tour.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, or related field, or 4 years of directly related experience.
• Previous experience in event planning, logistics coordination, and / or project management.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in social media platforms and experience with social media management tools.
• Passion for cycling, experiential learning, and youth development.
• Flexibility to travel and work non-traditional hours as needed during the tour.
