Advocate Aurora is Hiring a Remote HR Program Manager (Remote)

Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the HR Operations new demand through the development and use of a standard estimating model that accurately represents current team capacity. 
  • Completes assessments for internal HR areas. Builds HR capabilities and alignment of strategies across HR.
  • Ability to work with all members of the HR team and cross-functionally with other departments to ensure HR processes are seamless and efficient throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Works with the teammates and leaders across the company to understand the business requirements and communicate system capabilities/limitations while using in-depth knowledge of HCM systems to propose creative solutions and recommendations for people operations improvements.
  • Drive measurable improvements through automation of business requirements and employee process friction points reducing process cycle times and improving teammate satisfaction.
  • Manage, optimize, and document HR related operations and processes, communications, policies, and procedures in support of the HR Operations strategy and programs
  • Support and drive key components of building out HR services, including the development of teammate and manager knowledge base and self-serve resources, automation and HR Operations systems.
  • Acts as change management champion for systems and processes, facilitating and communicating HR process and policy updates and changes
  • Develop and manage HR Shared Services QA policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-department colleagues to understand and implement HR programs that drive standardization across the ecosystem.
  • Manage programs that help preserve the data integrity of the HRIS system and support the creation and maintenance of HR analytics, reports, and metrics
  • Ensure effective administration and compliance with all aspects of the leave programs through our Leave management team and partners.
  • Support HR Compliance initiatives for any federal and state employment laws and manage any compliance related projects in coordination with the HR Compliance team.
  • Continuously reviews and evaluates internal operating processes, facilities, systems and procedures for effectiveness, efficiency and responsiveness to customer requirements.
  • Develops and implements changes and enhancements as appropriate, collaborating with HR Business Partners, Center of Expertise, HRIS, IT and vendors to ensure delivery of high levels of service and customer satisfaction.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Human Resources, Compliance, Shared Services, or Technology related field or equivalent knowledge

Experience Requirements:

  • Typically requires at least 5 years of experience within HR, HR operations, or HR Shared Services

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Agile mindset
  • Experience documenting workflows, identifying recommendations for change, gaining buy-in, and implementing changes to processes
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to interface with all levels of the organization, influence decision makers and set and manage expectations.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of, and experience with, broad people-related functional areas (benefits, payroll, learning & development, employee relations, etc.)
  • Experience working cross-functionally to automate processes and reduce tactical administration by understanding key team stakeholders and the impact on one another’s teams; strong influencing skills and ability to work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders.
  • Capability of working with limited supervision; initiative-taking with strong prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of HR functions such as compensation, benefits, employee relations and organizational development. Ability to integrate knowledge into design and implementation of integrated service center strategy.
  • Proven ability to examine procedures, formulate policy, design new strategies, develop sound proposals and successfully implement programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead/mentor in a team environment where collaboration, motivation and the knowledge transfer process is critical for success.
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced environment, fostering teamwork across HR functions. Proven ability to lead projects, meet deadlines, prioritize demands and solve problems creatively.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, working with large data sets, communicating findings and establishing/tracking program metrics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, human capital management software, case management tools and web-based applications.
  • Advanced knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations that influence HR.
