The Social Media Specialist is responsible for the planning, implementation, and monitoring of all Social Media initiatives in the company’s Marketing plan.
Under the direction of the Director of Marketing and Communications, and supported by the company’s Social Media agency, the Social Media Specialist provides expertise and takes ownership of enhancing online presence across all the company’s Social Media platforms, while managing the corporate image in a cohesive way to achieve marketing goals.
Ultimately, the Social Media Specialist should be able to handle the company’s social media presence, ensure high levels of web traffic and customer engagement, and use KPI to substantiate the decisions made in the evolution of the Social Media strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Although the company relies on this individual for high-performance Social Media Marketing strategies to meet established KPI (managerial aspect), this position is a communication support service to the core marketing plan that stays congruent, without exception, with all messaging approved by the marketing department (executional aspect).
SOCIAL MEDIA:
· Manage, develop, oversee, and analyze Social Media strategy, content and calendar (daily/weekly/monthly) across all company platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, and TikTok).
· Collect monthly list of deliverables (product focus) from the Marketing Plan initiatives to fill the ongoing Social Media calendar.
· Communicate the detailed list of deliverables to the Social Media agency to ensure timely delivery and posting of content on US platforms.
· Monitor / oversee Social Media agency to ensure the respect of deliverables, deadlines and planned budgets.
· Post content delivered by the Social Media agency on the company’s platforms in 2 additional markets.
· Coordinate with the Communications Specialist to send monthly releases and product to the company’s network of paid Beauty Influencers.
· Collect paid Beauty Influencer content to (1) post on company Social platforms, and (2) provide to Communications Specialist for distribution.
· In collaboration with the sales department, create and implement a bi-monthly trade communication initiative.
· Monitor posts made by trade network and repost their stories once a week.
· Support initiatives of the company Events Plan.
· Collect, review, and analyze monthly statistics KPI tracking reports provided by Social Media agency, and present results / recommended strategy adjustments on a monthly basis.
· Monitor and respond to inbound comments posted on all company platforms.
