Position Title : Activity Assistant (Part-Time)

Overview : The Activity Assistant develops and implements lifestyle programming that provides opportunities for residents which promote a high level of healthy living, wellbeing, engagement, and growth.

Essential Job Functions :

• Prepare and implement activity programs in adherence to the monthly
• Collaborate in the planning of activity programs that provide physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual opportunities for the
• Collaborate in the planning of appropriate programs for holidays and special events; assist in coordinating holiday decorations for the
• Collaborate in the preparation, organization, and distribution of the calendar of events each
• Collaborate in decorating appropriate areas.
• Collaborate in storing supplies appropriately.
• Observe residents participating in programs to gauge their enjoyment and obtain feedback to improve programming.
• Document resident participation in programs and self-directed
• Communicate resident changes and program effectiveness with Activities Supervisor.
• Interact with residents, guests, and staff in an atmosphere of
• Protect the privacy of the resident when communicating oral and written information.
• Collect and pass out monthly calendars, event flyers, and resident mail.
• Carry out resident council & family circle duties.
• Assessing residents upon intake to ensure care plan leads to highest quality of life and reflects previous lifestyle choices.
• Keep activity areas maintained.
• Adhere to and enforce safety procedures.
• All other duties as assigned within the scope of the job.

You Have :

• High School Diploma required; Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred but not required.
• One year of related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
