Medical Front Desk Receptionist in Miami Lakes, Florida
Primary Care Office consists of one doctor, Dr. Brismay Castellon located in Miami Lakes Florida
We are seeking a part-time position, with a possible full-time position.
Must be able to work on Saturday's 8am-1pm.
Education and Skills requirements:
- Bilingual (Fluent English and Spanish) REQUIRED (Must be fluent in English)
- Excellent interpersonal skills (verbal and written communication)
- Computer based competency (working knowledge of Microsoft office applications, email (outlook)
- Medical assisting background (Preferred but not required)
- Background Check
Responsibilities include the following:
1. Welcome patients as they contact the center personally or by telephone.
2. Explain the services available, payment categories, and billing procedures.
3. Schedule appointments; direct walk-in patients as per established policies and procedures.
4. Answer all incoming calls and act accordingly.
5. Register all patients per registration protocols and collect all documentation.
6. Assure that all services provided have been checked out properly.
7. Reviews and verifies patient coverage of insurance prior to the patient being seen by the provider per established policies and procedures and collects deposits or co-pays/deductibles.
9. Work closely with Medical staff, and Medical Assistant to assure smooth patient flow and reduce waiting time.
10. Call and remind patient of his/her appointment.
11. Follow up on “no show” patients on a daily basis.
12. Communicate patient’s problem/complaint to the office manager or his/her designee.
13. Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment.
14. Ability and willingness to treat all patients with the utmost kindness, consideration and respect in the most trying situations.
15. Ability to learn and multitask.
16. Ability to work efficiently and accurately.
17. Process incoming faxes and medical record requests.
