Job Description:

We are looking for a self-motivated and experienced Medical Assistant, Scribe, or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in late July. The ideal candidate will be adept at multitasking, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy. This role is ideal for pre-medical, pre-PA, or FMG candidates seeking hands-on experience in a dynamic dermatology setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Support:

- Assist physicians with patient intake, charting, laboratory work, surgical procedures, and wound care.

- Clean and sterilize instruments according to office protocols.

- Patient Interaction

- Provide compassionate and efficient patient care.

- Assist with prescription refills and authorizations and handle patient phone calls.

- Administrative Tasks

- Maintain accurate medical records and data logs.

- Manage room turnover and restock examination rooms.

- Support the smooth operation of the office by ordering supplies and maintaining data logs.

- Office Duties

- Perform light office cleaning tasks to ensure a tidy and welcoming environment.

- Cross-cover the front desk as needed.

- Maintain and update data logs accurately.

- Order supplies as necessary to keep the office running smoothly.

- Technology Utilization

- Use and manage computer systems efficiently, including Excel, Microsoft Office, and G Suite.

Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of 2 years as a medical assistant or scribe, preferably in a dermatology or similar medical office. Candidates with scribe training are also welcome. Must know basic medical terminology

- Skills: Proficient in computer and iPad usage, fast typing, and tech-savvy. Familiarity with medical office software is essential. All work is done on a computer.

- Attributes: Highly efficient, responsible, dependable, punctual and detail-oriented. Must demonstrate excellent multitasking abilities and a commitment to superior patient care.

-Personal Traits: Resourceful, self-driven, and kind. Must be a team player who thrives in a supportive and mature work environment.

-Preference: Previous experience in a dermatology setting is highly desirable.
