SAGE Dining Services® is seeking a highly qualified hands-on Chef Manager / Assistant Food Service Director with exceptional high-end catering and high-volume production experience in campus dining as well as strong leadership / office management skills for an exemplary private boarding school in Mexico, MO.
The AFSD is responsible for assisting the Director in all areas : production, catering, team management, sanitation, and administrative duties.
Our managers are driven. They design menus at the venue that reflect the communities they serve. Our managers hire their teams, manage ordering, inventory and catering, as well as lead talent management.

The Assistant Food Service Director must have a passion for people, food and community. The ideal will have a CAN- DO attitude, strong communication skills, high energy and enthusiasm.
The best candidate will enjoy current food trends, be proactive, have nutritional and wellness awareness. The AFSD will develop strong relationships with the community, develop menus that will create excitement and community satisfaction for the boarding community.
AFSD will also assist with planning and executing catering events, managing ordering and inventory, and developing our amazing team members.
This is a seven day a week operation, so the schedule would include at least one weekend day. Must be able to work a flexible schedule in order to accommodate business needs.
All management positions are salaried and paid year round.
