Processing inmates in and out of the facility, passing supplies, meals, bedding, uniforms, and some cleaning. Maintaining the safety and security throughout the facility and from the control center. Monitoring inmate through line of sight and security cameras. Communicating with inmates by way of an intercom system and or written communications. Escorting inmates around the facility for various reasons. Transporting inmates to and from doctor's appointments and/or court appearances.
The Audrain County Sheriff's Office offers a sponsorship for the Police academy. The Audrain County Sheriff's Office pays your tuition, provides ammunition for range time and pays you a salary while attending the academy. Applicant must be 18 years of age, have a valid Missouri driver's license and High School diploma or equivalent.
