DescriptionWe are seeking a Medical Receptionist for our healthcare facility in Meriden, Connecticut. This role involves managing patient interactions, maintaining medical records, and handling patient appointments and calls. The position is a contract employment opportunity that requires skills in electronic medical records and data entry.
Responsibilities
  • Greet and interact with patients upon arrival and departure.
  • Efficiently manage patient check-ins and check-outs.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
  • Handle incoming calls from patients and medical professionals.
  • Accurately maintain and update patient medical records using the Epic EMR system.
  • Transcribe requests from providers and manage inboxes.
  • Support the team in maintaining a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Ensure all patient interactions are handled with empathy and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure patient satisfaction.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to healthcare regulations and standards.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Epic EMR system is essential.
  • Experience in managing patient check-ins efficiently.
  • Ability to schedule and manage patient appointments effectively.
  • Capable of handling patient calls with professionalism and empathy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
  • Familiarity with maintaining and updating patient medical records.
  • Understanding of EMR (Electronic Medical Records) is required.
  • Data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
