Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity is Hiring a Director of Digital Media Near Memphis, TN

The director will oversee the Fraternity’s social media presence and serve as the key producer and

manager of video, audio, and photo assets. Content produced by the director will be featured across a

variety of platforms to increase brand awareness and elevate the reputation of Pi Kappa Alpha. The

director has a strategic vision and knack for recognizing opportunities to tell the PIKE story through

innovative and creative means, with an awareness of audience and response. As a brand champion, the

director promotes consistent use of digital identity for a unified brand presence across all departments.

The director reports to the Senior Director of Marketing & Communications.

Responsibilities

  • Supports marketing and communications team in creation and execution of digital and social media content. Ensures all creative content is brand compliant, consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice, and optimized for user experience for all channels including social media, web, and email.
  • Serves as Fraternity’s brand voice on social media by creating and managing all posts, monitoring conversations, and building content that best represents the PIKE story.
  • Serves as the social media director for expansion projects each semester to support bringing the Fraternity’s brand to new campuses.
  • Initiates planning and execution of visual media content throughout all stages of development, from conception and script writing to visual capture and production, for use in advertising, marketing, public relations, online activities, and executive presentations.
  • Re-purposes branded content for use across an array of digital platforms, including from the Shield & Diamond magazine.
  • Establishes workflows for requesting, creating, editing, publishing, and retiring creative content.
  • Prioritizes projects and aligns resources to deliver maximum impact from creative content.
  • Sets specific digital objectives and monitors progress of Fraternity social media channels.
  • Assists with email campaign development for Fraternity needs, including the layout for the Fraternity’s monthly e-newsletter. Lays out and sends periodic emails as directed by executive staff.

Job responsibilities and tasks for the director are subject to change based on the needs of the organization and at the direction of leadership.

Qualifications

  • Experience in multichannel creative content development, design, and campaign execution
  • Ability to plan and execute social media campaigns and posts to support business objectives
  • Proficiency in video and photo editing, visual effects, compositing, and motion graphics
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe CC Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom, After Effects)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong management and reporting skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
  • Solid critical-thinking and interpersonal skills; ability to manage competing demands for time and work cooperatively with others
  • Knowledge of the Greek life industry.
