Summary of Responsibilities:

· Displays courtesy, tact and diplomacy when dealing with employees, physicians and outside institutions.

· Identifies Risk Areas, creates an audit strategy, requests correct reports, concisely identifies the issues and recommends effective corrective action.

· Participates actively and enthusiastically in identifying project issues and workflow..

· Conducts follow up review with requesting departments to ensure points of clarifications on items are met.

· Contributes recommendations in project issue resolution.

· Collecting, validating and analyzing data related to project and extracting and interpreting data to summarizing findings.

· Maintains current industries knowledge.

·Full knowledge of company policies and procedures.

· Maintains current industries knowledge.

· Manages time efficiently to meet assigned tasks deadline as set by management.

· Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Must be comfortable working from and updating internal ticketing system in an organized and timely manner.

Must be comfortable inservicing departments both in person and virtual as needed .

Must be comfortable and willing to share knowledge and histroical project information to co-workers (train.)

Must be willing and able to research and interpret policies and guidelines as needed for projects.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED.

Associate or Bachelors, Preferred.

Two to Five years' experience preferred.

Required Licenses/Certifications:

• Certified Professional Coders (CPC) or
• Certified Coding Specialists (CCS) or
• Certified Coding Specialists Physicians (CCSP) or
• Certified Outpatient Coder (COC)
• Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) desirable
• Other Special Certification
• If none of the aforementioned, certification is expected at management's discretion.

Skills and Knowledge:

· Proficient in EPIC application/knowledge of company operating systems.

· Full knowledge of medical terminology - CPT guidelines and ICD-10-CM

· Computer literate

· Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Proficiency

· Ability to work under normal supervision preforming duties in an area where procedures are standardized but independent decisions are required.

· Excellent written and oral communication skills.

· Full knowledge of Physician's and Teaching Hospital (PATH) guidelines.

Knowledge of NYS Medicaid and Third-Party Regulations.

Knowledge of CMS Regulations.

Ability to multitask.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
