Accountant II Starting Salary Range:

• $62,918 - $67,021 / year

Accountant II Duties & Responsibilities:

• Completes integral aspects of accurate financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
• Completes complex accounting activities including lease accounting and accounting for repossessed properties (REO)
• Supports management by coordinating month-end close activities, call report preparation, and oversight of accounts payable processes.
• Monitors regulations and communicates/documents changes in regulations to ensure compliance in all reporting and reporting processes.
• Conducts accounting and regulatory research; assists Accounting Associates in applying technical rules of accounting.
• Prepares and posts journal entries and completes reconcilement of assigned general ledger accounts utilizing automated reconciliation software. Researches and identifies details regarding outstanding entries.
• Proposes enhancements to work methods or procedures in order to improve process efficiency.
• Assists with complex accounting activities related to financial, tax, and regulatory audits utilizing knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
• Documents and monitors internal controls and procedures in support of company objectives. 
• Completes ad-hoc projects and extensive research as requested by Accounting management.

Accountant II Required Qualifications:

• 3 to 5 years prior experience in an accounting role with similar experience.

• Prior financial institution experience preferred.

• Experience working with large databases preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, a degree in Accounting/Finance preferred.

Hours:

• Monday - Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
