We are looking for trusted and heartfelt Caregivers to join our Home Instead family! As a Home Instead Caregiver, you are just as important as the clients we serve.
Join our family of Home Instead Care Providers to help make a world of difference for seniors in the community of Jackson County.
This position requires compassion, patience, and the ability to adapt to the needs of each client. If you HAVE A HEART FOR SENIORS, are dedicated to providing quality care, and WANT TO make a positive impact in the lives of others, we encourage you to apply, even if you don’t have caregiving experience.
We have immediate openings for caregivers for all available shifts, including, days, evenings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
We provide service to Ashland, Medford, Grants Pass and surrounding areas in the Rogue Valley.
Responsibilities include :
The responsibilities include helping seniors thrive from the comfort of their home by building lasting relationships, engaging in household activities, and assisting in personal hygiene care (toileting, bathing, etc.)
Home Instead provides non-medical care that allows seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion. You must be able to :
Have the ability to communicate professionally with clients.
Provide companionship and engage in conversation.
Display the ability to treat seniors and their property with respect.
Provide direct care to clients in accordance with their individual care plans.
Assist clients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Provide medication reminders, assistance or administration.
Complete light housekeeping tasks and meal preparations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of client's home.
Run errands and have transportation.
Provide stabilization and assistance with walking and transferring.
Qualifications :
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have a valid driver's license
Must have a reliable car and current auto insurance
Must have weekend availability
Must be able to pass a criminal and Orchards background check
Experience with personal care is preferred (assistance with toileting, incontinence, bathing, grooming) Must be willing to do this task.
Experience with transfer equipment and caregiving tasks preferred
Experience with Alzheimer’s / dementia patients preferred.
Must be able and willing to lift 25lbs
