Job Summary:
The Houseperson represents the hotel to the guest throughout all stages of the guest’s stay by working with all hotel personnel to ensure every guest experience receives superior customer care. Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining all public spaces to ensure our guests are experiencing company standards in cleanliness.This is considered an entry level pre housekeeping or pre maintenance position to start the career path in one of these departments.

Responsibilities:
* Assist with stripping and clearing trash/linens from check out guest rooms.

* Assist in maintaining public space cleanliness and visual appeal inside and outside the hotel property.

* Assist with guest service requests including delivering items to guest rooms.

* May handle small maintenance requests such as TV’s, Remotes, Light Bulbs, etc. in guest rooms.

*Understands and follows brand/property cleanliness standards.

* Maintains the appearance of the hotel rooms and public space inside and outside the building to ensure cleanliness standards are met daily.

* Flexible to assist with a variety of tasks to assist the housekeeping and maintenance departments.

* Cleans and wipes windows, doors, walls, closets and fixtures in rooms, public areas, and hallways.

* Washes shower walls and tub, cleans toilets and stall walls. Wipes exposed pipes, cleans mirrors, sinks, and walls to have clean and sanitary guest and public restrooms.

* Washes all hard floor areas (linoleum, tile, etc.) by hand to remove dirt and soiled areas.

* Dusts and polishes all furniture, fixtures, and wall hangings.

* Strips bed of all linens and remakes with fresh linens.

* Vacuums rooms, public areas, and hallways.

* Inspects door and window locks to ensure they are in working order and immediately alerts management to an unsecured or unsafe situation for the safety of guests and employees.

* Checks lights and remotes to ensure all are in working order.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
