Position Summary
Responsible for material management activities related to the purchase, receiving, distribution and inventory of supplies, instrumentation and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum one-year experience in healthcare supply management in a clinical setting.
- Computer experience required. Knowledge of SMART and MediTech preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Essential Job Functional
- Stocking and counting supplies in nursing units and surgery.
- Receiving supplies and putting them away in the storeroom
- Helping the Materials Manager, Storekeepers and Materials Coordinator as needed.
- Adapt well to change.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrate sound judgment, patience and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
- Ability to work in a busy and stressful environment.
- Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
- Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
- Creativity, problem analysis and decision making.
- Ability to work varied shifts.
