Requirements :
- Highschool diploma orequivalent.
- Experienceas a loss prevention officer mall security guard orsimilar.
- Experienceworking undercover ispreferred.
- Selfdefensetraining is highlyadvantageous.
- Licenseto carry nonlethal weapons issuggested.
- Excellentverbal communicationskills.
- Abilityto work undetected ifneeded.
- Perceptiveand intuitive with excellentjudgment.
- Capacityto perform duties with speed andprecision.

JobSummary :
We are looking for an eagleeyedloss prevention officer to monitor the movement of our stock. Theloss prevention officer will be required to conduct surveillancedetect and act on suspicious activity and ensure the recovery ofstolen items.
To be successful as a loss preventionofficer you should possess the ability to conceal yourself in plainsight. An outstanding loss prevention officer would be willing toplace themselves in potentially dangerous situations in order tomaintain public safety.
LossPrevention Officer responsibilities include but are not limitedto :
- Walkingaround the store as you search for suspicious activity by clientsandstaff.
- Monitoringprevious and live security feeds to detect dubiousbehavior.
- Approachingand questioning individuals who seem to be actingsuspiciously.
- Friskingindividuals thought to be in unlawful possession of ourproducts.
- Apprehendingthieves and holding them in a separate area as you wait for theauthorities.
- Providingeyewitness accounts at police stations in court and at otherpertinentmeetings.
- Recoveringstolen products and returning these to thefloor.
- Recordingall attempted and successfulthefts.
- Searchingfor and reporting on vulnerabilities in our securitysystems.
- Brainstormingways to prevent theft and vandalism in and around ourstore.
