Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. The Dental Assistant will work closely with the dentist and dental team to provide quality patient care and assist with various dental procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience in dental assisting, strong knowledge of infection control protocols, and excellent communication skills. Duties: - Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures, ensuring all instruments and materials are sterilized and ready for use - Assist the dentist during dental procedures, passing instruments and materials as needed - Take and develop dental x-rays - Prepare and maintain patient records, including updating medical history and treatment plans - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques - Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring impressions and trimming models - Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office's appointment calendar - Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order new supplies as needed - Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, including proper sterilization of instruments and equipment - Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assisting program preferred - Current certification in dental assisting preferred - Experience working in a dental office or clinic is highly desirable - Knowledge of dental software systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic is a plus - Familiarity with pediatric dentistry is an asset - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to work well in a team environment We offer competitive pay based on experience and qualifications.
