Job Description
The Emergency Department Technician NWR position reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Medicine, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
The Paramedic provides patient care within a defined scope of practice that includes patient care, monitoring and observation, specified treatments and procedures;
provision of environmental and personal safety and effective communication.
Responsibilities :
Demonstrates the ability to multitask efficiently and continue to provide high quality service to patients, including and especially during high volume times.
Qualifications
Required :
CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certificate or current Illinois EMT-B / P license or CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) with 5 years of experience.
For the EMT-B / P license requirement, an individual who holds a currently valid EMT certification from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians and has applied for Illinois EMT-B / P at the time of hire will have three months to complete the Illinois licensure.
Preferred :
ACLS certification
