A growing division of a Fortune 500 company is seeking a full-time Accounting Specialist to report to and work closely with the Controller and accounting staff to performing a variety of duties.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings
• Preparation of Blackline reconciliations
• Assist with budget preparations
• Resolution of daily accounting matters with accounting staff
• Assist the Credit Manager in resolution of past due receivables
• Provide corporate and internal data requests.
• Provide customer and supplier administrative requests.
• Perform freight audits, process rebate credits, prepare cycle count overviews, and maintain fixed asset records.
• Submit claims to supplier programs
• Fulfill data requests from internal and external audit groups
• Participate in accounting, system implementation, and operational projects as needed

Required Experience/Education/Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting
• 5-10 years of experience in accounting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Teams, including intermediate experience with Excel
• Ability to work accurately in a fast paced, growing company environment
