Position Summary:
Directs and coordinates Perioperative Blood Services. Assures the adequacy and appropriateness of services provided to the patient. Accountable to the medical staff, administration and the Governing Body.
Reports to: Director
FLSA: Exempt

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
X Medical degree (MD) or equivalent □ Preferred X Required
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Licenses:
X Licensed physician in State of Michigan □ Preferred X Required
Certifications:
X Board Certified in Anesthesiology X Preferred □ Required
X 5 years related training or experience □ Preferred X Required
