The role: As a Grounds and Maintenance Associate at SSC, you responsible for performing routine building, amenity, infrastructure, and grounds maintenance tasks, general cleaning, and other tasks as determined by the General Manager (GM) and/or assigned Grounds and Maintenance Manager (GMM.) The main function of this role is to ensure that all facilities run smoothly and safely throughout the camping season and that all grounds present impeccably. The person who fills this role will work closely with the GM, maintenance, grounds, front desk, and housekeeping crew, and other team members. This position, like all at SSC, is customer-facing, and maintains a pleasant, welcoming, hospitable attitude when onsite serving guests. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and contribute to the success of the campground.

The Grounds and Maintenance Associate works in every area of the campground. This could mean working outside in hot, cold, wet, windy, humid conditions and includes a lot of walking/driving from one end of the campground to another. It may also include working inside for extended periods of time.
Physical Requirements:
This position is one where the incumbent is required to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time on a regular basis. The incumbent will also perform a variety of repetitive tasks, including cleaning each site when campers check out and assisting with minor repairs. It also includes carrying and using a variety of tools, along with bending, stretching, reaching and lifting at least 50 pounds.
